Pets Yoga in Prague: Relaxation with a Extra Dose of Cuteness

Stretch your body, switch off your mind, leave in a better mood – and maybe with a few dog hairs on your clothes, too. Yoga with puppies has recently become a bit of a phenomenon. And even though a few years have passed since the first classes of pets yoga in Prague took place, the interest in this unconventional experience is still huge. After all, it's no wonder: we aren't called a nation of dog lovers for nothing. If you want to unwind with a healthy dose of cuteness but are not quite sure what to expect, you are in the right place.

Pets Yoga Prague: Your Guidee

What exactly is pets yoga and how does it work?

A yoga class that is not really all about yoga. :)

It is a mix of light stretching, a relaxing atmosphere, and tiny paws running across your mat while you exercise. Or better said – trying to exercise. So definitely don't expect a classic class where you focus on every single breath and the perfect execution of poses.

A standard class usually lasts 60 minutes. The first 45 minutes are dedicated to undemanding yoga suitable even for complete beginners. Even during this time, puppies run freely among the participants, cuddle, chew on shoelaces, lick faces, or make themselves comfortable right on your mat. The instructor naturally anticipates this and leaves room for everyone to enjoy the experience in their own way. The last 15 minutes are then reserved purely for cuddling, playing, and taking photos.

Yes, every now and then there may be a little accident in the form of a puddle. But they are prepared for that too (and you should be as well :) ).

💡 Tip: CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE BREED
Puppy yoga classes in Prague take place with various breeds of all sizes. In the reservation system, you can always choose a class in advance with the dogs (or even kittens) that you have a soft spot for or if you are considering getting that specific breed. One time you might spend the session with fluffy golden retriever balls of fur, another time with chihuahuas or other tiny pocket-sized creatures, or you may find yourself surrounded by a pack of restless border collies or pointers. We personally joined a pets yoga Prague class with energetic vizslas, and anyone familiar with the breed will know straight away that this was never going to be a peaceful meditation.

Puppy yoga as a socialisation class

For us, it is fun – but what about those little creatures? Isn’t it stressful for them? That is the first question any animal lover is likely to ask. The good news is that there is no need to worry.

Only puppies from verified breeders take part in the classes, usually between 6 and 8 weeks old, by which time they have generally already had their vaccinations. Before they leave for their new homes, they need to get used to contact with different people, as well as new smells, sounds, and stimuli. Puppy yoga therefore gives them an ideal opportunity to socialise in a controlled, safe environment. At each session, the puppies always come from a single litter, so they are surrounded by their siblings, and their breeder is present too. If a puppy gets tired, it simply crawls into its bed and falls asleep – even for the entire class. Participants are always told in advance not to disturb any puppies that are resting.

Where to go for pets yoga in Prague?

The first classes appeared here in 2022. Today, you can choose from several different places to try puppy yoga in Prague. And not only in Prague.

Yorkmut Pets Yoga Prague (formerly Pets Yoga Prague)

Where: Senovážné náměstí 978/23, Prague 1, plus a branch in Brno
Web: https://www.yorkmutpetsyogaprague.com/

This was the very first yoga with puppies not only in Prague, but also in the Czech Republic. The founder originally got inspired abroad, then opened a branch in Brno a year later, and in 2025, now under the Yorkmut brand, added another project in the form of the unique dog café Yorkmut Café in Prague’s Vinohrady district. There is a genuinely wide range of classes to choose from, with the occasional kitten session appearing now and then as well. The schedule is always published in advance on the website, and in most cases you will need to book ahead, especially for certain breeds.

Pets Yoga

Where: Dance Different studio, Fügnerovo nám. 5, Prague 2, plus a number of other cities across the Czech Republic
Web: https://www.petsyoga.cz/

Here, you leave not only with a memorable experience, but also with the good feeling that part of every booking goes towards supporting shelters and animals in need. Unlike Yorkmut, they do not have their own dedicated venue, and classes take place in a range of different spaces, from dance studios to yoga centres. Thanks to that, you can try pets yoga not only in Prague, but also in other larger Czech cities.

Yoga Pets Prague

Where: Nádražní 896/30, Prague 5
Web: https://yogapets.cz

One location, but classes practically every day, including weekends. Since March 2026, Yoga Pets Prague has been operating in new premises where, according to their motto, you can enjoy yoga that is “quite literally a hair better”.

Hafasté

Where: InnerVibe studio, Svobodova 135/11, Prague 2
Web: https://www.hafaste.cz/

Hafasté is a family project whose founder spent more than 20 years training guide dogs for the blind. Classes are led by certified instructors and are more intimate, with a maximum of 11 participants. Booking in advance is therefore more than recommended.

Jóga se štěňaty

Where: Poděbradská 110, Prague 9
Web: https://jogasestenaty.cz/

Another of the smaller concepts, this time a bit outside the center. Classes take place daily, usually in the evenings, and during the day on weekends. Compared to the others, the price is lower, so if you are looking for the cheapest puppy yoga in Prague, this is worth checking out.

🎁 Tip: Want to surprise someone with an unusual gift? Give them a voucher for a pets yoga class in Prague. All the above-mentioned organizers offer gift vouchers that can be redeemed for any class.

Practical tips before your first visit to puppy yoga class in Prague

  • What to wear: Comfortable sportswear is all you need. Do not wear anything the puppies could easily chew through or swallow, such as statement jewellery or loose strings. There are usually lockers on site where you can leave your belongings.
  • Equipment: Classes are done barefoot, and mats are provided on site, so there is no need to bring your own.
  • Hygiene: Before entering the studio, you will usually be asked to wash and disinfect your hands so you do not bring in outside bacteria. The spaces are also disinfected regularly, partly because of the occasional little accident. Leave your own pets at home.
  • Kids' participation: Classes are usually open to children as well, often from the age of 6, but always accompanied by an adult.
  • Book early: Classes tend to sell out well in advance. Organisers release dates depending on which litter breeders currently have available. It is worth keeping an eye on the programme on their website, following their social media, or signing up for a newsletter.
  • Class language: Classes are mainly held in Czech, but for example Yorkmut Pets Yoga Prague also offers sessions in English.

Is pets yoga worth it?

If you are looking for an unusual experience that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and help you slow down for a while – and you don't care that much about the exercise itself – the answer is simple: absolutely yes. True, the price for a pets yoga class in Prague isn't exactly the lowest, no matter which place you choose. On the other hand, it is still cheaper than therapy, and the effects feel surprisingly similar – except this version is also incredibly fun.
